Spice up your Taco Tuesday with pulled pork, fresh, delicious ingredients, and Monstruo de Gila BBQ Salsa.
Ingredients:
1 package pre-cooked pulled pork (typically in the meat department, or see our recipe for e-z crockpot carnitas)
1 bottle Monstruo de Gila New Mexico BBQ Salsa w Hatch Green Chile
½ c fresh cilantro leaves
1/3 c diced red onion
1/3 c cotija (or other Mexican white) cheese
½ c Crema
1 lime (sliced in wedges)
24 small corn tortillas
Time: 30 min
Serves: 4-6
Preparation:
Add 2 tbsp BBQ salsa to 4 oz crema and refrigerate. Using the pre-cooked pulled pork, fry in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until slightly crisp. Serve on corn tortillas with cilantro, diced onion, cotija cheese, and top with BBQ crema, garnished with lime wedges. Goes great with a Chantico Margarita.
